Deviated septum, if you had one would you fix it?!

Question:

Deviated septum, if you had one would you fix it?

I've had my nose broken twice, now my septum is deviated and it throws the balance off in my face if you look closely enough- or in some lighting it is very obvious, in other lightiing it is not. I am very self conscious of it and have a bit of trouble breathing through one side of my nose. I am 24 years old.
But when I think about getting the procedure to fix it, I get very scared I might die or that it will look worse afterwards.
Then I start thinking Im being selfish and should just accept it as who I am now, and use the money for my familys welfare.
I really dont know what to do.
