Treatments for sun allergy?!

Question:

Treatments for sun allergy?

any medicines or treatments you can recommend ?

Answers:

To tell you the truth I used to have sun allergies just like you and it wasn't until last month that I was actually "cured".

There are several things which you could do.

1. Personally, I found out that I got sun allergies because my skin was not getting enough sun, so whenever I actually did go outside my skin would become very irritated and itchy. I solved this about a month ago when I went to the beach for a week. Once there I surfed everyday with a 50 spf sunblock, and even though I was developing a sun allergy, it got better day by day until there was no reaction at all.

2. I've heard that it might also be your detergent you use to wash your clothes with. The solution (your not going to like this): you will have to throw out all of your clothes and buy new clothes and switch your detergent with baking soda. This is very risky and this should be known as the "last resort".

3. If you are going to want to take any medications the only and I mean only things that I would recommend that actually work would be Allegra (which is prescribed by a doctor) and Zantax (which is a heartburn medication that somehow works with your immune system, and it can be bought over the counter). Let me repeat myself to make it seem more serious: These are the ONLY and I mean ONLY medication that I recommend that would actually work. And if you were to take these, you'd have to remember to take them 2 hours apart from another. (I'd take Zantax when you wake up and Allegra when I go to bed)

4. There is a certain pill if all else fails. I don't exactly know what its called but if you are interested, ask your skin doctor for a "Sunscreen that you swallow in the form of a pill". Again, I do not know what it is but I highly do not recommend it as there is a high chance that it will damage your liver.

5. Lastly, if nothing works out, you'll just have to stay in the shadows until a real treatment is made (which I don't think there will within the next 5 years). And wear protective clothing that you can buy here:

Its not to fasionable but hey, your safe from the sun, right?

So all in all, I hope this information gives you hope for the future. I feel really bad for you since I have once witnessed the tragedy you are going through. If you need any more information feel free to email me but I think I really nailed everything I knew in the 5 steps above, sorry.
