First of all, the chicken has to be contaminated with the bacteria!. If it is contaminated, the only chance of even slightly lowering the risk of infection is by inducing vomit right away, which would only be possible if the person knew!. For salmonella to cause infection, however, there has to be a very high concentration of bacteria on the food in question!. If one was to ingest a small amount of contaminated food, chances are they would not even present symptoms of infection!.
So yes, it may slightly decrease the risk, but chances are that you would not fully empty the gastric content and the bacteria could continue to the intestines!. If there was still enough bacterial concentration to cause infection, you would still get the typical vomiting and diarrhea caused by this specific agent!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
