I know one thing we give alcoholics in the hospital is vitamins!. Especially Niacin!. The body of an alcoholic starts to lack the ability to digest vitamins, and alcoholics also don;t get adequate nutrition!. So one important vitamin is Niacin that is important for brain and tissue health and is given as a supplement to suspected alcoholics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have read that mild thistle is good for the liver and another supplement called alpha lipoic acid!.
I can't explain how these work but I have known people with Hep C that used these and it helped them!.
I think the alpha lipoic acid needs to be used in high doses and it a little on the expense side!.
