Do you think HIV positive people should have the right to breed?!

Question: Do you think HIV positive people should have the right to breed!?
I don't, considering whether the baby is born vaginally or through c-section, it runs high chances of contracting HIV when they are just innocent babies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
i'm against it, because there is always that chance, regardless of antiviral drugs used, that the baby could be born with HIV!. he or she is an innocent child!.

i don't want to stigmatize people with HIV!. my mother used to be a hospice nurse and cared for AIDS patients in the 80s when they didn't have the meds they have today, and AIDS was a terrible death sentance!. so, know this, i'm NOT stigmatizing!.

i just think that any chance at all is too high!. they're literally playing with death!. also, while meds do help HIV+ people live longer, they don't live as long as people without the virus!. it isn't fair to the child to have a parent die early!.

i think it's selfish!. why not give a home to a child who needs to be adopted!? that child would also face the early death of a parent, but it would be better than having no home or living with foster parents forever!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry if some don't don't agree while I understand some people think every HIV+ person will have HIV+ kids the risk is very low!. That breeding comment was a little uncalled for and so was the one about registering like a sex offender!. There is an unfortunate stigma in our society that HIV+ people should have limited rights, however if people become more informed and educated on the subject matter before making such statements maybe we wouldn't have such rigid views in society!. It's unfortunate that some people are stuck in the 80's-90's way of thinking when it comes to HIV/AIDS!. There are some options even for a poz couple with proven results!. For example:if a mother HIV+ takes Anti-Retriviral drugs beforehand and maintains an undetectable viral load then the risk of transmission is as low as 1% and as low as a HIV- woman!. There are also other options out there like sperm washing, invetro fertilization, artificial insemination of course they all cost money and the problem is insurance doesn't cover these, also foster care and adoption is another a viable option but there are specialists that are up-and up on all of this purely devoted to helping HIV+ people or couples have kids and have proven track records!. So somebody tell me a good reason why they shouldn't be able to have kids!. The best thing to do for those planning to have kids in this situation is do plenty of research and weigh the best options even if that involves spending some money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO but i dont think its called breeding lmao but thats ok for those with hiv positive i guess you can say BREEDING LMAO AGAIN!. another thing i think they should have to rejuster just like a sex offender has to i would want ot lnow if someone that has hiv is playing with my grand-kids so again HELLL NOOOOO
GREAT QUESTION DONWww@Answer-Health@Com

Nope!.
It's not fair to the baby!.
They can just adopt if they want a baby bad enough!.
There are so many children out there that need a home & people like that should consider adopting!. I know it's not like having your own child, but you'd be protecting an innocent life from contracting something they shouldn't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it is every person's right to have (or not have) a child!. With medication, the chances of transmitting HIV from mother to child have decreased tremendously!. If it is done correctly, you can lower the risk of transmitting the virus to the child by 98-99%!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

what I don't agree with is the fact that you are insinuating that people with HIV are animals!.
"Breeding"!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think they should!. Some people really want to have their own kids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no its not fair to the babyWww@Answer-Health@Com
