Please help?!!! white dots on blood?!


Question: Please help!?!!! white dots on blood!?
Well i was donating blood for my lab class, and when they took some out some white dots appeared in the blood, I was wondering what they were, ill take some tests later but does anyone know what do they mean are they bad!?!?!?

It could have been a contaminant in the equipment that was being used, and what you were seeing was a result of impurities mixing in with the blood after it was removed from your body!.

The other alternative that comes to mind is that they were cholesterol (or lipid) particles which precipitated when the blood was out of your body, and could be indicative of high cholesterol or blood lipids!. This is sometimes seen particularly in those with hereditary cholesterol related diseases, where the levels can be very high (nb!. patients with some of these conditions aren't overweight or fat)!.
