Answers:
Diabetics control sugars through insulin and/or pills, or both!. A type 1 diabetic needs insulin in order to live, whereas type 2s don't always need it to control diabetes, but some of them do since the pancreas in type 2 can stop secreting much insulin!.

Some insulins that are fast acting have a quick action time within 15-20 minutes where it peaks!. If a meal is not consumed quickly in this time period, this is where hypoglycemic shock can occur because the sugar is likely to crash without food being digested as it should be!. This is true if a diabetic person is taking Humalog, Lispro, or Humilin insulins!. This is why diabetics need to inject just before their first bite of a meal when on a fast acting insulin!.

If sugars go too high due to no insulin being given or not enough insulin, then a fast acting insulin will need to be given in order to bring down the sugars if a diabetic collapses!. The sugars need to be brought down slowly when too high since doing this quickly can cause a deadly reaction!.

If you inject insulin before a meal, but don't get time to eat it your blood sugars will run low and you will start to feel weak and faint which if not recognised early enough will result in the person going into a diabetic coma and they will need to be given a glucose injection into the thigh to bring them around!. If you aren't going to eat you should take less units of insulin or none at all until you do eat!.

If a diabetic forgot their insulin, before they would collapse they would start to feel unwell - they would become very thirsty and lethargic!. Their blood sugars would need to be checked and if necessary extra insulin be administered!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have collapsed because of hypoglycemia!. Hypoglycemia is more serious than hyperglycemia!. Hypoglycemia affects your brain where as hyperglycemia affects various organs of the body such as eye (diabetic retinopathy), heart (coronary artery disease), kidney (diabetic nephropathy) and peripheral nerves (diabetic neuropathy)!.
If you have diabetes, make sure you follow your doctor's advice regarding diet, medications, and exercise!.
If you have a history of hypoglycemia, you should keep a snack or drink containing sugar available at all times to take as soon as symptoms appear!. If symptoms do not improve in 15 minutes, eat more food!. A glucagon kit is available for those who have episodes of hypoglycemia that don't respond well to other types of treatment!.

you have to inject the incillin inside of you because ur body doesn't produce it due to ur pancrease cannot produce any!.when u eat, u have to watch ur carb intake to keep ur body leveled!. my dad passed out w/ a blood sugar of 999 and should have died at 500!. he was taking 4 shots a day, but that's an extreemly rare case!. when u don't take the time 2 give urself shots, and eat properly, it makes ur blood sugar either (depending on ur body) causes u 2 go too up or too down which is y u get dizzy!. a diabetic wouldnt eat a sugary meal w/out insillin!. they also have the tablets for u to eat on the go!. if u watch ur eating habits, and get plenty of sleep and right exercise, it's not usually a problem!. Also you would be surprised to know that some Bodybuilders use insulin for its growth benefits which is dangerous so remind others of this "New Steroid" like hazzard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Low blood sugars are indeed likely to cause loss on consciousness in diabetics on insulin or other drugs that lower blood sugar, so missing a meal is potentially dangerous!.

The effect of a raised sugar is much slower and coma following this often takes many days to slowly develop and is thus less dangerous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not the case that you take your insulin and dont eat you got to eat, when i was having my daughter i was injecting insulin twice a day, first thing in the morning (had to eat just after) then about 5pm evening (had to eat just after) you dont take it if you know you cant get hold of any food!. as for forgetting their insulin i dont think that would happen, you need to make sure you carry a spare insulin pen with you at alll times!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You must eat, but if you couldn't you would need to replace the carbohydrates with something like glucose tablets of juice!.
For your second scenario they would need to go to a hospitle and from there be given insulin and monitored!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is this homework!? I'd think if you were a type 1 diabetic, you'd already know the answers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
