Might be a silly question but I was just diagnosed with Hypertension?!

Might be a silly question but I was just diagnosed with Hypertension?

I am taking medication for it. Anytime I forget to take it I delevope a very bad headache, Why does high blood pressure cause that! Thanks 26 female.

Headaches are a common symptom of Hypertension. As the blood courses through the veins at high pressure it hurts and throbs. Don't miss you medicine. You don't want that pressure on your bloodvessels.
