I have a hard time with pain!. Yet lately I have been diagnosed with 510 blood sugar level!. The doctor has put me on medication and given me a device to Prick my finger with daily!. What the f*&k is with that!? Is there a device out there that allows someone not to have to hurt themselves every day to find out what their blood glocose level is!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Check on the upper arm near the shoulder!. There are less nerve endings there & it doesn't hurt!. After awhile, when you learn what your body does, you will test less!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nope, there is nothing on the market yet, but supposedly, they are working on it!. When you do your finger stick, do it towards the side of the finger, not right in the center!. This hurts a little less!. Also make sure that your lancing device is adjusted so that it does not peirce the skin quite so deep!. Just deep enough to get blood, but not deep enough to cause a lot of pain!. You should have directions with it!. Normally, you just turn the top of it to make an adjustment one way or the other!. In time you may develop calluses on the tips of your fingers!. You can use alternative sites to get blood, (palm of hand and forearms) with most of the newer meters, but the results are not as accurate as with the blood from a finger tip!. Use fingers on both hands, and alternate sites!. This can also help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not yet!.

There is some research being done, but at this time those kind of devices are not accurate or stable!.

"What the f*&K is that" is your lifeline!. If your blood sugars stay in that 510 range, you are going to damage you internal organs, and die an early and painful death!. There is also a good chance that you will have amputations, blindness, and dialysis BEFORE you die!. As if that is not bad enough, you will probably also lose the ability to have sex!.

Diabetes is a very serious disease, and needs aggressive treatment!. The first step in that treatment is knowing your blood sugar at critical times of the day -- and that means pricking your finger, and taking measurements with a special meter!.

Most doctors recommend 4 times a day -- just before each meal, and just before bed!. But your readings are so seriously high that the doctor might also add tests two hours after each meal -- for a total of 7 times a day!.

The more self-disicpline you have, the more you make these measurements, the better you control your diet, weight, and exercise, the longer and happier you will live!.

Frankly, 3 or 4 little finger pricks a day is a small price to pay for an extra 15-20 years of life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sadly, your blood has to be tested for the best data!. Good data and good diabetes control go hand in hand!.
Try adjusting the lancing device, maybe you have it set too deep!? Are you using the finest point lancet available!? Prick the sides not the front tips of your fingers!. Also, you may be able to test blood from your forearm or palm, both sites are less painful than fingers!.
You may also want to discuss a continuous glucose sensor with your doctor!. These devices don't provide super accurate readings, but the sensor doesn't hurt as much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry, but you will always have to have a little prick!.!.!.um, you know, to get the blood!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its hardly even a pain
if you do it right, it doesnt feel like anything at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
