Tapeworm egg risk?!

Question:

Tapeworm egg risk?

i forgot to save a coke bottle that i was gonna use for a science experiment, and i brought it out from the trash like a day later. the cap was screwed on tight and there was like corn skin and stuff all around it, and then i washed it in incredibly hot water and soap for like 5 minutes. is it alright to use and drink or is there bacteria and tapeworm eggs and stuff in it? should i soak it longer? hahaha i already put it on my mouth briefly for some reason, but then i washed and rubbed my mouth for a little. hahaha btw, i had ocd!!! :(

Answers:

Tapeworm eggs are in feces from a person or animal who has tapeworms, so unless your cat has worms and there was used kitty litter in the garbage, you are probably safe. There is definitely bacteria on the bottle though. Couldn't you invest $1-$2 in a new bottle of coke?
