Question: Is it honey(from bees) good to replace sugar for people with risk of diabetes !?
Answers:
Number one, it's not sugar that causes diabetes!.

Either way you go,honey has nearly the same amounts of fructose and glucose as table sugar!.

Honey:

* Fructose: 38!.5%
* Glucose: 31!.0%
* Sucrose: 1!.0%
* Water: 17!.0%
* Other sugars: 9!.0% (maltose, melezitose)

Table sugar:

* Fructose 50%
* Glucose 50%

The best thing for a person at high risk for diabetes to do is learn all they can about healthy diet and exercise!. Here's a good place to start:

No!. Honey is just highly concentrated sugar water!. Diabetics (and those at risk) need to cut back on honey as much (maybe more) than regular sugar, becasue honey is CONCENTRATED sugar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No it is not a good replacement!. The herb Stevia is though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
