Why does my face turn deep red and my head fill with pressure when I'm upside-do!

Question:

Why does my face turn deep red and my head fill with pressure when I'm upside-down for more than 5 seconds?

No guesses please!

Answers:

Gravity pulls blood down, to the inverted head.

The blood drains down into the face, and inside the head and brain. The color and pressure are increased blood in those structures.

Veins have a form of valve like structure that helps prevent blood from pooling in the lower limbs, this mechanism is inverted and blood 'rushes' without restraint toward the head.
