There are a lot of questions here and not all of them concern UTIs!. Until a urine culture confirms that you have a UTI, drink plenty of water!. I think it best to avoid acidic drinks like cranberry juice and I'll tell you why!. E!. coli is the most common cause of UTIs and it's a type of bacteria known to adapt and thrive in an acidic environment, the type that cranberry juice creates!. So, if you have a UTI cranberry juice can worsen or prolong it!. Since the culture results won't be available for 3 days, you won't know which organism is behind this until then!. Be sure to ask and also ask if the organism is acid-adaptive (the acid loving kind)!.

You didn't mention specific symptoms but if you're having pain you can use an OTC phenazopyridine product like AZO or Uristat but only for 2 days!.

About STD testing!. This is specific testing!. This has to be ordered by the doctor!. It's not part of a urinalysis or urine culture!. Although most STDs can be tested for with urine (also blood and cell samples) it has to be ordered and if you had good reason to believe to may have been exposed to an STD, you should have brought this up when you saw your doctor!. If this is just a "fishing expedition" of yours, forget it for now!.

Do you end every statement with a question mark!?

For the vaginal itch, try a vinegar douche one time only and wait and see!. Eating yogurt with a live Acidophilus culture may help!. Don't use "feminine" products or deoderant tampons!. Wear cotton crotch panties, avoid tight pants and bubble baths!. If the itching continues, worsens and/or you start seeing a cottage cheese-like discharge, see your OB/Gyn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your doctor can give you a prescription to help treat it!. And drink lots of cranberry juice!. That helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
