How do you talk to someone about your fear of possibly being hiv positive?!

Question:

How do you talk to someone about your fear of possibly being hiv positive?

two years ago i tried to donate blood to American Red Cross. I recieved a letter a few months after saying that i tested false positive for HIV. ITs complicated but basically on the initial test i was positive and the confirmatory i was negative.... confusing eh?

So i didnt do much about it, out of fear for two years. two weeks ago i got tested and on friday the nurse (whom I know personally) called and was like honey we have the results but... ( mind you my results were three days late for some odd reason) i want your doctor to review them and she will call you personally with your results on monday so stay by the phone....

obviously it doesnt seem to good. Lately my mom has beeen very snappy with me and nit picky about how i act and what i do. its like today all i wanted to do with her was yell mom you dont know the half of what i am going through right now...

i just want to pull out hte letter american red cross sent to me and show her...help

Answers:

I'd say just call someone you're close to...someone you can trust with the information....and say you need to talk. Then just come right out and tell them what's going on.

I answered your last question regarding talking to your mom......I really think you should, especially since you say you really feel like you want to.

I'm thinking about you and sending prayers your way this weekend. When you find out, let us know, won't you?
