If you had a terminal illness and you only had about a year or two to live would you tell your family and friends or not !?

First, 'terminal' is a terrible word to describe even cancer!. For example the press say Elizebeth Edwards has terminal or inoperatible breast cancer!. The statistics is she has a 20-25% chance of survival in 5 years!. So should she just give up or get treatment and support and maybe beat those odds!.
So yes, I would tell my family and friends, learn everything I can about the disease, work with drs to develop a game plan and fight! You need the support of your family and friends to be able to fight!. they will understand and support your choices in living your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, most definitely!. I would take the time that I have left to share memories with my family & friends!. I want to be able rehash all the memories we shared over the years!. Telling your family & friends is not asking for sympathy but it is a time for sharing, loving, caring, crying!. Take the time to cry and let them cry with you!. My attitude is what I would wish if I had only a short time is have a party and share all the memories!. By not telling them is robbing them, so whomever you are talking about plase tell them to share the news!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
That really depends on your views!.Some people " I've know a few" who feel if they tell anyone that Everything will change!.Their loved ones will no longer treat them the same!.Instead they might be treated like they're about to die at any moment!.Keeping that in mind I don't know how to answer this!.If it were my wife or child I'd be very hurt if they didn't tell me,but I don't know if I could be that brave!.I'm not afraid of dying but I am afraid of putting that burden on someone that I love more than life itself!. I would tell my immediate family, but probably not anyone else!. My immediate family are the people I lean on when I need it, so I would have to tell them!. As far as everyone else!.!.!.!. I just dont like people talking about me the way people talk about people who are dying!. I dont want the whole "feel sorry for her" crap!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
