Answers:
Yes, diabetes can make you less smart if you have diabetes with accompanying complications like diabetic ketoacidosis or hyperosmolar nonketotic coma, which are acute complications of diabetes!. A long standing diabetes can cause earlry degeneration of brain cells leading to forgetfullness!.Most often, diabetes may be asymptomatic but if full blown presents with thirst, frequent urination and weight loss!. I advise you to consult your doctor for a fasting blood glucose determination!. It is very easy!. Do not wait for complications to appear!. Complications are irreversible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only way to know for sure if you have diabetes is to see a doctor-you cannot self diagnose!.
Untreated diabetes can have an effect on every system of your body because it affects circulation and neurological function!.
Just go and find out for sure if you have it and what to do if so, or I can promise you will regret it later!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have uncontrolled diabetes, your brain can be starving for energy, and your brain needs energy to do its work!. Once the diabetes is under control your brain should be ok!. (Unless you were stupid to start with, than I guess there is no hope)Www@Answer-Health@Com

its the diet itself that would affect you mentally!. the diabetes is just another complication of your bad diet choices!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
