So you mean Thalassemia? AKA Cooleys anemia. If so...I is a herediitary disorder that is produced either by a defective production rate of alpha or beta hemoglobin polypeptide chain or a decreased synthesis of the beta chain. There are two types of thalassemia. t. major and t. minor. T. major is the worst one to have, the younger the person is when the disease appears, the outcome is less favorable.
