The medical paradigm used to be, probably still is, that every time your blood sugar gets way to low, brain cells die!. Well, I've been diabetic for more than 53!.5 years, my combined math and verbal Graduate Record Examination Aptitude test score was 1330 in January 1980!. My blood sugar has gone from as low 36 to slightly over 300 in one day!. I have four college degrees earned from 1975 to 2000, and stayed enrolled in school through the spring semester of 2003!. My intelligence does not seem to be affected much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Diabetes can affect your thinking process if your glucose level drops or spikes, or if you don't have the right medication, or you have medication side effects!.

The most important thing you can do for your self is eat properly, and at regular intervals!. And if you are doing this, and you have major fluctuations in your readings with side effects, look into different medications that work!.

My mom used to get confused and disorientated when her sugar dropped, and she got better when she ate or drank something!. But the doctor noted that a medication change would benefit her, and it did!.

Take care of yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The causes of type two diabetes could cause depression!. And high or low blood sugar in either type might cause a variety of minor symptoms, but for the most part, there's very little to worry about!. I've been diabetic for six years now, and I don't think it's affected my mind at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
