Does anyone think this could possibly be true?!

Question:

Does anyone think this could possibly be true?

My friend always wears black even though she isnt emo or anything like that. I've heard that some people say that if you constantly wear black you could get cancer or something bad like that. A doctor said this about someone my family knows supposedly he got cancer from wearing black all the time. Do you think could be true or just some stupid thing people and doctors say?

Answers:

There is no scientific documented evidence that anyone has gotten cancer by wearing black. It's a rumor just like all the other ones about what 'causes cancer'. It is far more likely that in young people cancer will be caused by internal triggers such as growth hormones or the primitive cells of childhood. Environmental causes are controversial because no one can actually prove that something 'caused' cancer. that is because not everyone exposed to an environmental 'cause' will ever get cancer. So, common sense would dictate . . if black clothes caused cancer. . than everyone who wears black clothing would now have cancer. But there is no evidence, nor can you find one person who has ever gotten cancer from black clothing . . which means it's just a rumor that young people are using to 'scare' each other. Sounds like the same type of rumor surrounding lipstick, plastic bottles, hair dye and a host of other urban legends.
