What could be causing my swollen knuckle?!

Question: What could be causing my swollen knuckle!?
Hi, I'm a 22 year old girl!. Over the past week or so i've noticed the knuckle of my right middle finger (my 3rd PIP for those of you who understand what that is) to be quite swollen (though not overly noticable to my friends)!. Its also very itchy and feels as though its bruised!. Its not bruised though as I havent knocked it against anything!. Its quite sore when i hit it against anything eg!. if i knock a door!. It cant bend fully, and its just generally annoying!.!.!. its also got quite red today!.

Then tonight i've noticed the DIP of my 4th finger in my LEFT hand is starting to get itchy too!. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this!?

Thanks in advanceWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It looks like that you are developing RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) as this condition attacks PIP joints of the hands and on both sides (bilateral manifestation)!.

Eat lesser red meat, but more Mustard Greens!. Absolutely avoid Grapefruit!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you get it cut anywhere near that area!? If so, disinfect it with alcohol and cover it with a band-aid!. If you didn't, do you have any pets or eat anything that could cause an allergic reaction you are not aware of!? Maybe you touched something if you went on a walk or hike recently, or somewhere you've never been before!.
There could be a number of reasons as to why your knuckles are swelling up!. A good idea is to use an ointment or lotion on that area a few times a day!.
Another idea is to ice it on and off for a few days!. This should control swelling!. Get an ice pack or use a zip lock bag and put a few many ice cubes in there and wrap it with paper towels so you don't freeze burn yourself!.
If that doesn't make it go away or improve within a week or two, maybe you should get that checked out by a doctor!.

Hope I helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com
