Not necessarily!. If there are active herpes lesions on the genitals at the time of birth then the baby is at risk of developing herpes while a neonate!. This can be serious and needs to be treated actively!. The risk otherwise will be low!. As long as the doctors and nurses involved in the delivery and post-natal care are aware of the risk it should be ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Doctors usually say if your not having an out break you can have the baby but if you are then they will do a c section on you!. Either way yes you can still have a baby if you have herpes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes of course!. only if there is an active outbreak will a c-section be performed!. most women w herpes have babies normally (vaginally) with no problems!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
