If I am on antibiotics, can I drink and go back on them tommorow?!
Question: If I am on antibiotics, can I drink and go back on them tommorow!?
I am on 2 types from my perio, one says do not drink with alcohol!.
My last dosage was 1pm, can I go out tonight and drink and just RE-START them in 24 hours!?
P!.S, I am on day 7 of 10 but I am VERY MUCH under stress!. Please don't tell me I am not, I am a full time student, work 30 hours a week in an underappreciated field (just because I am bi-lingual they don't want to promote me because who else can deal with non English speaking people) I take care of my mom, and I am single very much scared from being 240 lb woman!. no!. for the antibiotics to work you need to take them ant regular intervals for the specified amount of time, they work by battling the infection and eventually killing it off!. if you have a break in between, it gives the infection a chance to regain it's strength and fight back!. the types of antibiotics which say do not drink alcohol say this because the alcohol can weaken the antibiotic or cause unpleasant side effects if mixed!. go out if you feel better but stick to non-alcoholic drinks!. sorry if this is not the information you wanted to hear, but i hope you feel better soon :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Drinking alcohol while taking medication is never a good idea!. The best thing for you to do medically is to finish your antibiotics!. Drinking is NOT a good way to relieve stress, but if you still want to drink, wait until AFTER you have finished all of your antibiotics!.Consider getting counseling to help you find healthy ways to deal with the stress in your life!.

You do not want to drink while on antibiotics,it will make you sick(esp w/flagyl),it decreases the effectiveness of the antibiotic!. You don't want to skip or delay your antibiotics,if you do you might as well not take it at all, your blood levels will not be in therapeutic range!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Alcohol is a toxic substance, you should not drink alcohol with any medications, and not with an Anti biotic!. If you have difficulty going without alcohol it may be an addiction and you should seek help for it!. Talk with your Doctor he may be able to direct you where to get help!.

No i wouldnt advise that, because that can mess it up, you should really speak to a dr about that!. its safer to finish antibiotics to make sure whatever you have is completely taken care of before drinking!. but if you choose to you might as well its not going to kill you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
