What is the difference between a dust mite(F) and a dust mite (P)?

my doctor says im allergic to dust mite (F) but not (P). but i dont know the difference! what does the P and F mean?

North American House Dust Mite=Dermatophagoides farinae Hughes

European House Dust Mite=Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Trouessart)

I guess the pteronyssinus would be the P and
the farinae would be the F
