Psoriasis help??!

Question:

Psoriasis help??

i'm only 15 and i've been dealing with it since i was 7. i have it on my elbow and scalp. i used to have it on my knee but about two months ago i got psoriasis in my ear canal. I kept on getting ear infections because of it. I went to the dermatologist and he gave me this steroid cream to put in my ear. it helped at first but now it's not doing much of anything and it still itches a lot. is there anything else i can do until i go back to the dermatologist?

Answers:

I have the same problem. I have psoriasis on my scalp, and some on my hip and in my ears. I have a problem with ear wax, not ear infections. There are some other ideas you can use. Water with bath salts tend to help relieve the itchiness and other symptoms of psoriasis. And get some sun! Not too much, maybe only about 15 minutes at a time, and expose your ears to direct sunlight. You can also try moisturizers. Oily or greasy moisturizers are generally much better.

Good luck!
