Answers:
Lupus is a remitting/flaring autoimmune disease!. When lupus flares, you pretty much feel like you have the flu!. That is because those of us with lupus make cytokines which are the chemicals that make you feel like you have the flu, only we don't have it!. Experienced lupus patients recognize the onset of a flare and take care of themselves!. Flares typically include joint pain and inflammation as well!.

Each patient is different!. There is no standard frequency or duration of flares!. Flares can be brought on by prolonged stress, UVA and UVB light, cigarette smoke and there are other suspected triggers!.

My last flare landed in the hospital for 14 days and nearly killed me!. Now I am basically symptom free, but still on maintenance meds and once chemo at a low dose!.

The answer is, there is no answer!. Lupus is unpredictable!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's never lupus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
