Can a severe knock on the head cause a brain tumour?!
Question: Can a severe knock on the head cause a brain tumour!?
I had a severe knock on the head a couple of months ago and was knocked out for several hours, and had some bleeding in my skull!. I still have pain in the area i was hit and have had headaches since and some others symptoms similar to a brain tumour!. Could this knock have caused a tumour!?!?!? Thanks in advanceWww@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
No!.
You have post concussive syndrome: residual effects of brain trauma!.
Brain cancer (if that is what you mean by "tumor" which simply means growth) is not caused by a single concussion or hemmorrhage!.
It certainly wouldn't appear in just 2-3 months!.
You may also have an increase in water pressure in your brain (hydrocephalus) caused by blood blocking the spinal fluid tracts!.
See your PCP or neurologist right away if your symptoms continue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, don't worry about a tumor!. The far more likely culprit is complications from the original knock on the head--fluid there or something like that!. See a neurologist!.!. ASAP!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
