A lymph gland can be felt as an oval lump in your armpit, groin, under your chin, and several other areas!. This small organ acts as a filter in the lymph system, which is like the circulatory system in that it has vessels (tubes) to carry the lymph (excess cellular fluid) from all parts of your body back to the bloodstream via a "dump" in your neck!. When you have an infection, these "glands" filter out harmful bacteria and viruses and become enlarged and a little tender to the touch!. Each major lymph vessel has glands to do this work!. A lymph gland!? They are under you skin (under all the layers) and feel like olives or firm grapes when they are enlarged!. They are not on top of your skin & do not look like flat pimples!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
