Have been on doxycycline (antibiotics) for acne now for 2.5 months and no change!
Question: Have been on doxycycline (antibiotics) for acne now for 2!.5 months and no change!. is this normal!?
i am using doxycicline 50 mg once every day for the past 2 and a half months!. there has been only a slight slight improvement in my skin!. is this normal!? Do not give me answers like "try proactive its the best" or "try clearasil" because I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!!? and nothing has worked!. not even antibiotics!. i'm using the Lush cleanser, Herbalism too!. just for interests sakeWww@Answer-Health@Com

ask your doctor there are higher strengths of doxy you may need that if you have a follow up with your doctor you should tell them you want an effective treatment Www@Answer-Health@Com
i had bad acne and it went away in 1 month after i went on a contraceptive pill!. acne is hormonal and once the hormones balance then it should go away!.
im skeptical of antibiotics coz acne is not a disease or sickness as such, its actaully a REACTION (to hormones which cause excess oil etc) and so you can keep killing the bacteria on the surface but it will keep coming back if you have unbalanced hormones!.
treat the problem not the symptoms and you should be fine!.
if your Doc put you on antibiotics that sounds really bad to me, but then there may have a reason so ask them to clarify that!. but it sounds like they dont know what theyre doing (sorry if im wrong on that)Www@Answer-Health@Com

um doxycicline didn't work for me either (it's also used for dogs too which is the weird part but it's after their heartworm treatment)!. try and get bactrim that worked a little better but i had it for a staph infection however it cleared up my face faster!. also if you haven't tried clearpores that's supposed to be incredible also try a perscription face wash from your dermatoligist and try to get a facial once every month or 2 months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Its good you have tried everything and have discovered for yourself that most of the so-called acne product are actually a rip off!. I will suggest you try natural remedies, its really effective!. This link below has been very helpful!. There are loads of tips for acne remedies!.
