I was diagnosed with strep throat, how long before I can return to work?

I was told yesterday I had strep throat and have been on penicillin since. I work at a hospital(in the e.r.) and Im not sure if I should take tomorrow off or if I should be fine to go or what?

Im not a nurse, I just register the patients.

I would be to be on the safe side. Usually after 24 hours on antiboitics you are clear. I would allow 48 though. If you are a nurse shouldn't you know this?

Ok, no offense was meant. I used to work in a hospital. They were very stict on us if we were sick. They wanted to take no chances. I would hope they would tell you when you can come back to work.
