Question about selling blood?!

Question: Question about selling blood!?
ok so, my friends friend gets her blood taken every week and gets paid 50$ a week to do it!? where!? how and is this trueWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
ucigirl!. Your friend's friend is truthful, but only half correct!. In ALL the 50 United States it is against the law to sell your blood!. If you donated "whole blood" you would be limited to giving no sooner than every six weeks!. Thus, what your friend is likely doing is donating a pint of plasma only, for which payment is allowed!. The donor is hooked up to a machine which first removes blood from an arm vein, filters and separates the clear plasma from all the cells and platelets, and then returns the cells and platelets to the donor while keeping the plasma for further medical or pharmaceutical use!. This type paid donation can be done weekly if a weekly screen shows normal blood protein present!. Other safety testing is also done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She is actually donating her plasma, not her blood!. Basically, they draw blood out and remove the plasma and then return the blood!. This goes in cycles and usually takes about 1 hour or less!. I would recommend that you go with this friend's friend and check it out!. Plasma is needed to save many lives and can not be manufactured so it's dependent on people like you!. Plus, who couldn't use an extra $50 a week!? If you can't ask her, then look in the yellow pages or Google Biolife and see if they are in your area!. They are just one of many collection companies!.

Edit: Twice a week is the standard procedure and so is $50 to $75 a week!. The blood is returned to you during the procedure and that's why you can safely donate twice a week!. Of course, you can just donate once a week if you want or once a month!. O, A, B, and AB blood is not rare enough to sell!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can check you local blood bank!. SOMETIMES they pay, sometimes they don't -- it often depends on their needs and your blood type!.

And most often you canNOT donate every week!. Around here, I think the minimum is once very 14 days!.

They will also test your blood for other diseases, like HIV and Hepatitis!. Ever if you have not had these disease, but have been EXPOSED to them (thus generating antibodies) your blood may be rejected!.

They will also reject you do to your general health!. You need to meet certain weight requirements, you cannot have anemia, and I don't think they will take a donation from a menstruating woman (ya gotta wait a week or two)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can't literally give blood away every week!. That would make you anemic & very ill!. Be a good person & donate your blood!. Being greedy like that usually makes for misfortune later on!. There may be a time when you'll need blood!. But being greedy, you may not get it!. It's been said that you'll be repaid for your givings 10 fold later on!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are private labs that have regular paid donors!. They make blood products like plasma, epogen and other blood products!. They usually removed the desired elements from the blood and replace the unneeded components by transfusion!. That way, the person can donate more often!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes this is true
but doing this just for money is not healthy!.
and $50 is not enough for blood
taking your blood away can HURT A LOT! You need to be VERY CAREFull and well to find out where they can take your blood away
you can go to www!.google!.com and type in selling blood (where ever you live)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably not blood!. She would be anemic if she did!. Plasma possibly but even that every week sounds like a lot to me!. If she is a rarer blood type she can get paid or if they are short in demand!. Contact you local Red Cross or hospital!. I am sure they can give you more information on that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

probably not i read in a book that you can only do it every month!.
and i dont even think you can do it for money!.
unless its for desperate vampires!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First I would ask your friend if you could tag along and make sure its a legit facility !.!.!. but it could be true, here is some good reading

http://www!.lovelymoney!.blogspot!.com/2007!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can sell your blood!. Usually the homeless do it!. $50 sounds like a lot!. Ask the person where she goes!. You probably won't like it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Look in the phone book for plasma donation, or plasma services!. They pay to take your plasma!. You get more $ the first time!. Ask your friend where she goes if you can't find it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

this should be possible because I've heard of homeless breadwinners who turned to this method temporarily to attain finances for their family during their times of trouble!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not true!. You cannot give blood every other week, unless it was some SUPER unethical person taking it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get paid to donate plasma, which is a part of your blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think that's true!.
You can donate, but not sell, unless it's to a hobo on the street or something!.
Ick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No that's not true!. You only give blood away FREE!. That's why it's called the blood drive:)Www@Answer-Health@Com
