Is rest always the best treatment when dealing with a virus?!

Question: Is rest always the best treatment when dealing with a virus!?
If viruses go away on their own anyway, can't you continue with your activities, as tolerated!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Viruses don't just go away on their own!. Your immune system has to fight them off!. The reason we say they "go away on their own" is because with viruses we don't have medicines that can kill them off totally once in the body like we do with antibiotics!. Thus we have to rely on our immune systems to fight viruses off for us (we do have medicines that can aid in reducing the amount of a virus in the body, or strengthening your immune system but none that kill off a virus, even vaccines don't kill off a virus, it just gives your immune system the antibodies it needs to combat it)!.

The best treatment in dealing with a virus is to make your immune system as strong as possible!. The number one way to make your immune system strong!?!? REST!! Also a healthy diet, and stress free environment strengthen our systems!. This is why the old wives tale of chicken soup is actually true!. Chicken broth actually has many nutrients that boost your immune system!.

That being said, with some viruses, such as HIV or Herpes, where your system cannot get totally rid of it, adequate rest is still important but exercise, nutrition, and stress reduction are just as important if not more in some cases!. As a general rule with viruses, if you FEEL like you should be in bed, then you really should be in bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No rest is very important to fight off a virus cause it gives your body the strength to fight the virus!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
