Is it safe to use rubbing alcohol on your face?!

Question: Is it safe to use rubbing alcohol on your face!?
For clearer skin!. I know it strips your skin of natural oils, but what if i use a good moisturizer after!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
ABSOLUTELY NOT!.

I would not even recommend using a product with alcohol in it!. Not toner or witch hazel or alcohol! Its very drying, will not heal acne, aging, highly irritating and could burn the skin!.

Do you want to look older then your age!?

When the skin is dehydrated from alcohol it trys to overcompensate by fixing it self and producing more oil!. So if you use it your skin will be dehydrated, yet oily (no matter if you use moisturizer), it will most likely look dull, and have blackheads and even more break outs!.

Natural oils are there for a purpose!. You can lack water and oil in the skin!. So moisturizer will add oil, but not enough water to help the skin!.

It also goes for using products that are drying like proactive!.

Rubbing alcohol is safe for use on your face but you must avoid the eye area, alcohol can cause chemical burns to the sensitive eye tissue!. Hospitals have been useing alcohol for years in a prep pad form (the little gauze pad in the foil packet) to kill skin bacteria prior to any proceedures!. If your skin starts to show redness or other irritation discontinue use of the alcohol as you may be sensitive to the application, as not all skin types are the same!. You have a good idea with the moisturizer as the alcohol will dry your skin, but a word of advice get a noncomedogenic type (noncomedogenic=will not cause blackheads by clogging pores)!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rubbing alcohol is safe to use on skin!. However, the facial area is more sensitive than the rest of the body!. It may burn!. I would consult with a dermatologist first!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
