its more common in teens because they share everything like drinks, they kiss, stuff like that!. they are more in contact with each other, so they have a better and higher chance of contracting it!. so i guess ur right!. congrats! Www@Answer-Health@Com

any one can get meningitis!. all people of all ages!. Young children and older people are most susceptible bc their immune systems are weaker than normal for the most part!. Meningitis can be caused by bacterial infections such as S!.pneumoniae, which is the common cause of pneumonia, hence why its more common in older people and young children who don't have fully developed or weakened immune systems!. Depends on the causitive organism of the bacterial meningitis!. Strep agalactiae and E coli in the case of newborns, Haemophilus influenzae from 6 months to 5 years (though rarely seen thanks to vaccination), Strep pneumoniae is most common in adults and Neisseria meningitidis is most common in young adults!. This list however is not exhaustive and doesn't include non-bacterial causes of meningitis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think its more common with younger children, they usualy recover better, too!. i think its pre puberty children are most affected by it!. but i recommend you to check statistics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
