Why is my face blotchy and red after throwing up?
After throwing up (ew) usually I have to blow my nose because some of it comes out that way (i know, nasty), well I threw up earlier and blew my nose only to find blood in the tissue. Then when I got up and looked in my mirror, my face looked as if someone had beat me up. Red and blotchy, almost looking like bruises. Does anyone know what this is?

no i do not have any sort of eating disorder, its a simple question. people throw up sometimes...get over yourself.

also, is there anyway to get rid of the redness/spots? or does it just go away on its own? should I go to a doctor?
Answers:
it might be because of the pressure when you throw up. sometimes after i throw up and my stomach pushes itself to throw up to hard then i get little red dots all over my cheeks.
