I'm sure you just imagined it!. If you'd had a heart attack, you'd know, believe me!. You'd have experienced a piercing pain in your chest and be short of breath
What likely happened is you were in a relaxed state and you became aware of your heart rate slowing down, then you either fell asleep or fainted!. I can assure you, your heart didn't stop!.
Might be wise to get checked out at the Doc's anyway, to see if there's any reason for that fainting spell!. You might have low blood pressure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you dropped to the floor not due to lose of conciseness or muscle weakness but due to scare you could just had skip beat!.Some cardiac arrhythmia such as PAC and PVC(premature atrial contraction,Premature ventral contraction)!.But as you say slow down before stop then could be some kind of heart block(AV block)!.Any how any abnormal heart beat need to check out ASAP!.Do you have any heart disease or taking any medicines!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to get to a doctor ASAP and have baseline tests run!. You could have developed many different things, but any changes in heart rates, especially sudden ones, can be potentially dangerous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
