Question: How do antibiotics kill or ihibit the growth of microorganisms!?
I need to know this for an exam tomorrow but i can't find a simple answer anywhere!. Please help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

An antibiotic is a specific poison that targets a type of bacteria in the body!. Since bacteria are prokaryotes, the antibiotic might destroy the cell wall or even inhibit the ability of the bacterium to turn sugar into energy, and it will do this without interfering with your healthy, normal cells!.

That is because there is no simple answer!. Each class of antibiotics targets a different part of the bacteria in order to destroy it!. Some antibiotics destroy the bacteria cell wall, others destroy the DNA!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
