Scared of anaphylactic shock.?
Ok, so i've got myself booked in to get a tattoo in about four days. I am a major health freak (absolutely scared of dying ..), but I really want a tattoo! Now, i've done my research - and i've found a place that is clean and everything - so that eliminates other health issues, but now i'm reading that I could be allergic to the ink - which could send me into anaphylcatic shock. (yes i must be a hyperchondriac). Anyway - i have no history of allergies, or allergies that severe for that matter, but they said that even if you don't have a severe reaction after getting the tattoo, years down the track - you could! HELP!

If you are really that worried about it, talk to your doctor about your concerns. I'm sure he wouldn't mind charging for an office visit...but you can call in and ask for a prescritpion for an EPI-PEN. It's a shot of Epinephrine (adrenaline) which can stop Anaphylaxis in it's tracks, or slow it down.
