Question: Hi,is anyone familiar with the cochelar implant for children!?
with hearing loss !? today my 3 yrs old had a hearing test and they said she has profound hearing loss!. and they suggested the cochelar implant!. does anyone know anything about it!. please share!. thank you soo much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a cochlear implant is a electronic device that is implanted in the back of the head!.!.it is use to stimulate the auditory nerves!.!.it is turned on by a remote to stimulate the cochlea to recieve sounds!.
Cochlear implants are very expensive and can cost about 30,000 for both ears!. I know a couple people that have cochlear implants and sometimes for profound deaf it might not work!.!.!.i know a girl at school that has a cochlear implant and it barely helps!.!.!.but getting them at a young age can also be a helpful too along with learning sign language!.!.if you have any more questions feel free to askWww@Answer-Health@Com
