Answers:

Infergen is not new. It has been around for many years. Used to be owned by Amgen, now Valeant has it. Right now it is only approved for nonresponders. Actually the FDA has approved it for 3 times a week but you can find progressive docs that will let you take it daily. There is a good article at Hepatitis Magazine at http://www.hepatitismag.org/storydetail.... . Dee took daily Infergen back in 2000 and is still clear! YEA DEE! The protease inhibitors are in 3rd round clinical trials but probably won't be available until 2009 and it is taken in addition to interferon and ribavirin for about 3 months and then you continue on with Interferon and Riba. If you go to http://www.hcvadvocate.org/hepatitis/hep... you can read about all the meds that are in clinical trials.
