Question: Can taking Nyquil for a cough make it hang aroung longer!.!?
It seemed like it suppressed the cough therefore not getting the mucus out and the cough kept up for a longer time!. Has anybody had this experience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. Nyquil and most other meds that have Dextromethorphan, the most common cough suppressant, do exactly that: suppress your cough!. Therefore, the junk in your system stays in your system!. If you don't want to go to the doc, I would recommend giving Mucinex a try (even the drug store brands - work just the same)!. Be sure you're getting the most milligrams per pill that you can get, and don't get the Mucinex with the Dextromethorphan (Mucinex DM), they do make it!!
I guarantee you will be much better in 2 days!.
