Taste vomit after eatting?!

Question:

Taste vomit after eatting?

I'm a 15yr old girl, and I've never had a history of eatting disorders. but for some reason, after I eat a meal I get the taste of regurgitation in my mouth.
there's no vomit or anything. just taste.

I'm not sure what this is, and if its a medical problem I wouldn't even know where to start looking for information.
Anyone have ideas?

Answers:

This may be a symptom of GERD, gastroesophageal reflux disease. Your esophageal sphincter, which connects your esophagus with your stomach, is supposed to close after you eat; yours may be opening slightly to let stomach acids into your esophagus and the "vomit" you're tasting is bile.

You must tell your parents you are having this. GERD may cause erosive esophagitis (your esophagus starts shedding from being burned by stomach acid), which can develop into a condition called Barrett's Esophagus. Barrett's Esophagus almost always leads to esophageal cancer.

Don't panic--this won't happen right away! It can take years. But you should see a doctor to be sure you don't have GERD. GERD can be treated with medications, both prescription and over-the-counter.
