am not an alcoholic and am not anaemic! i went to give blood last week and they said my iron was too low - probably because of stress. i had literally one drink and a few sips of another, and my head was spinning. i stopped drinking after that and im not trying to destroy my liver! i rarely drink, but this is the first time ive got dizzy off so little! but anyway, thanks for your anwers, just wanted to know the reason for it.

Answers:

There is no link between iron levels ( which suggest low iron stores) and the ability to take alcohol. Especially when you say you are not anaemic anyway! Stress equally has no effect on iron stores.

There are 3 ways your iron stores can become low.
Poor intake
Failure to absorb iron
Blood loss.
You need to find out which is causing your problem.
