Lymphogranuloma venereum??..Medical Professional answers prefered.?!

Question:

Lymphogranuloma venereum??..Medical Professional answers prefered.?

I contracted LGV about 6 years ago. I had been married for 6 months and had not had any other partners in a year or more. My husband was never tested but has never showed any symptoms and I haven't been reinfected. SO my question is...Is there another way to contract this disease or is it possible that he could be a carrier and I've just become immune to it? I've done a lot of research and it just doesn't add up. Thank you in advance for your answers.

I live in the US and neither of us have been out of the country. I am completely dumbfounded as to where I could have picked it up. because Iike I said I was completely monogamous. the only thing I can think of is a toilet seat, but I know that's highly unlikely.

Answers:

LGV is a sexual disease, that is caused by a bacterial infection (Chlamidiae) If you were treated for LGV and bacteria was killed with antibiotics you should not have any more outbreaks. There is a small chance that he can be a carrier, but it is very unlikely. Chlamidae is an atypical organism that can support itself so it lives in a persons cells and uses the hosts energy. If your husbands immune system is so weak that it cant fight of LGV than it is possible that he is a carrier. Why dont you ask your husband if he ever had outbreaks. It is also possible to get it from rubbing against someone who has an outbreak, so technically no sexual penetration.
