I work for a dermatologist!. We see people your age with acne all the time and are able to really help them deal with their acne!. In the past, I also saw a dermatologist for my acne and was able to see a huge improvement!.
There are so many options that dermatologists have to treat acne with and I really think that you will be happy with the regimen that they will be able to provide you with!.
In the meantime, wash your face with Cetaphil antibacterial cleanser twice a day and use non-comedogenic makeup only so you don't clog up your pores (look on the package- it will say if it is)!. It's possible that you might think you're allergic to benzoyl peroxide if you tried too high of a percentage (anything above 5 can be very drying)!. So if you're willing to try benzoyl peroxide again, I would go with 5% strength and use it only once a day!.

In addition, if your dermatologist suggests an oral antibiotic, it will not make any bacteria resistant to it if you use it over time!. Oral antibiotics prescribed by dermatologists are normally at a level too low to really be bacteriostatic (meaning too low of a level to kill bacteria)!. You might ask then, why would they give me an antibiotic!? It's for inflammation and believe me it REALLY works!.
Good luck and stick with your regimen! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

The one thing that I've seen make an amazing difference is a low dose of antibiotics because it takes care of the bacteria that cause such a problem on oily skin!. But you really need to think about that first!. You don't want to build up a resistance to antibiotics just to cure a few zits when you may need those antibiotics to save your life at some point down the road!. You really should try other methods first!. Witch hazel is an inexpensive astringent and there are a lot of anti-acne products on the market (like Clean & Clear)!. Keep your hands away from your face (don't rest your chin on your hand at school) and use non-comedogenic skin products!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hi
i have been to a dermatologist about my acne n improve alot
most probably u will be given oral medication or solutions for your acne i choose solution as i hate taking medicines but solutions will work abit slower but if u want speedy recovery take oral n meantime u can use benzoyl peroxide to buy over the counter for acne !.!.do go for the appointment !.!.!.!.all the bestWww@Answer-Health@Com

my niece had bad acne on her cheeks and forehead and went to the dermatologist for acne surgery!. what they do is prick the acne and squeeze the pus out!. it'll then heal in a couple days!. the dermatologist also gave her some meds to put on her face!. good results!? yea, i would say so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

jeez, too young to see a dermatologist!? all they do is see what you have, then give u a super duper medication for your problem!. they do work, trust me, but the acne gets worse first before it gets better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
