I feel "unstable"?!

Question:

I feel "unstable"?

I work in a machine shop and I've had several epileptic seizures there (over a 7 yr. span) my employer told me I couldn't work there if I kept having them (I see their point of view, that I could get hurt) but if I lose this job, I see it being very difficult getting another job in the same field (making the same money, 45,000) any options?

I'm 40 and pay 450 a month in child support, and school doesn't seem like a good option for me

Answers:

Your employer is responsible for your safety and that of other employees. Because you have had seizures at work, which are still continuing, he is under an obligation to remove you from any danger. Go to see your neurologist and ask for a review of your medication (if you take any), and through trial and error you mind find one which controls the epilepsy much better. Tell your employer that you are going to do this and keep him on side in order to keep your job while you are reviewed. Good luck.
