Nasal spray, cool mist vaporizer, and/or boil a pot of water , remove it from the heat, then tent your head with a towel and breathe in the steam!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
To open nasal passages (after you've cleared out the mucus, of course) I use a Vicks Sinex nasal inhaler!. One thing i noticed tho is that if the nose is really irritated sometimes it 'stings" a bit at first, but that doesn't happen with the Sinex "Ultra-fine Mist" one they also sell!. Don't know why the finer mist helps, but it definitely does!.
Usually within five minutes the nasal passages open up so I can breathe again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Neil-Med sinus rinse!. My wife is an RN and says all her co-workers
use this & swear by it!. It's kind of gross, but it works extremely
well!. Also, try Mucinex to break up the congestion!.

the neti pot only works for about ten minutes so it isn't worth it, steaming your nasal passages will help but for a short time also!. The most effective things I have used for a congested nose is a 12 hour nasal spray and breath right stripsWww@Answer-Health@Com
Try ibuprofen (advil/motrin)!. It is an anti inflammatory!. So it helps with the swelling that is clogging your nose!. Works like a charm for me every time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
