Sleeping probs?!

Sleeping probs?

I can never sleep at my house or places I have once lived. I have insomnia or somthing. I can't sleep till 1, 2 or 3 in the morn. What r some best ways 2 sleep better?


Answers:

Sleep is so important as I'm sure your aware of since you aren't getting enough.

Here are some suggestions:

Do not eat before bed.
No caffeine before bed.....water doesn't hurt just as long as your don't drink so much you are up several times going to the bathroom.
Establish a night time ritual that your body will recognize.....hot bubble bath (try some aroma therapy that promotes sleep - really works), reading a book....
Try to buy some "blackout" curtains or blinds that keep your room dark.
Don't take medication at night that would interfere with sleep.
Make sure your bedroom is a calm, neutral place that your body knows is only for sleep. (Example: Don't use room/bed for work, tv watching, eating, etc.)
Try some light noise........thunderstorm, ocean waves CD.
Take deep breaths and relax.
Try a light "sleeper" such as Benadryl or something. Please note that Benadryl is Diphenhydramine...same ingredient that is in Tylenol PM.
Light exercise before the bath.....walk to clear your head.
