Question: Question about thrush and exercise!?
Okay so we just borrowed a friends exercise bike but i tend to have a problem getting thrush easily!. (Ive seen the doctor about it but they don't seem to think there's anything wrong with me)!. And i'm worried that by sitting on the bike i might get thrush!? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i could do to prevent it!? I would go walking around the block but by the time i get home from work its too dark!. Any suggestions would help alotWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Thrush grows best in areas of the body that are dark, warm and moist!. You probably should be wearing only cotton underwear all the time - it wicks moisture away instead of holding it in!. After exercising take a shower, dry thoroughly and put on clean, dry clothing!.

Some people get yeast infections (and that is what thrush is) every time they have antibiotics, because the antibiotics kill bacteria, including the normal intestinal flora!. Taking lactobacillus restores the natural flora and helps prevent the thrush!. You can find lactobacillus milk or capsules in the grocery store!. I don't have hard evidence that it works, but lots of people use it, it has worked for my family, and there really are no negative side effects - it isn't even very expensive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are over weight (BMI over 27) then I would get checked for diabetes soon!.

If your weight is normal, then trying some Lotrimin cream on the skin in your groin that gets red and itchy all the time may kill the yeast for awhile!. Lotrimin cream is otc and is used twice a day for at least 10-14 days!. Apply to the affected area before getting dressed in the morning and just before going to bed!.

wearing the cotton is a good idea or better they make an exercise pant that is meant to wick perspiration away!.
Hope this has helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
