I have just been diagnosed with a "narrowing" at the base of my brain.!

I have just been diagnosed with a "narrowing" at the base of my brain. a ct angiogram has been scheduled.

can anyone explain what happens during this procedure. what causes this narrowing, what the treatment process will be, and should i be scared?

my symptoms are pretty bad. i have constant headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of balance, trouble sleeping, and numbness in my arms and sometimes right leg.

P.S.
my mother is in a coma and dieing from a double anyurism on the base of her brain stem.
