Question: I was told today that I might have cancer!!?
I went and saw my ENT specialist and he saw a solid mass in my sinus cavity!. I have to have surgery to get it removed and i am freaking out!. He said it is possible that it could be cancer but he wont know for sure until the biopsy results come in!. Does anyone have any knowledge or advise about tumors in the sinus cavity!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I have knowledge of these tumors, but not much can be said until you know if you have cancer or not along with the type, grade, stage and exact location i!.e!., sphenoid sinus, maxillary sinus, frontal sinuses, etc!. Your doctor looked at it and should have examined your mouth and palpated you nodes, what does he think!? Did he order a CT and an MRI yet!? If so, get copies of those reports and they will give you a good idea of what is going on!. The only other thing I can tell you is treatment is pretty demanding for cancer in any of the sinus areas!. It is possible you just have a nasal polyp or maybe an upper dental problem!. I hope so!. Best wishes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I understand your worry!. Last year my period went crazy!. I mean first I didn't get it for 2 months!. Then I get it real heavy and for 15 days!. This went on for a few months!. I went to the GYN and they did an ultra sound on my uterus!. They found polyps!. 2 of them!. The doctor told me it could be cancerous!. I was scared!. I got surgery and they removed it and told me it wasn't cancerous!. I was relieved!. I am sure you will be relieved too!. Even if it was considered a tumor, it could be benign (non cancerous)!. I know this isn't easy but I learned not to worry until they give me reason to worry!. Take a deep breath and relax!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Aww I am really sorry to hear about your bad news :( Just stay positive and strong, and I am sure you will be fine!. I don't have experience with this kind of cancer, but there have been many cancer survivors in my family!. They include lung, prostate, kidney, breast, brain and arm cancers!. All of my family members survived!.!.!.even my 86 year old great grandma, who had cancer in her arm!. Shes now 97! Anyways, if it is cancer, don't freak out!. There is so much that they can do for cancer these days!. And I really do believe that staying positive keeps you strong and helps fight it!. How old are you!? It's very rare to find a cancer growing in a young person!.
You have to keep telling yourself that it's probably benign!. Don't let yourself worry yourself sick!. Refuse to believe it's malignant!. Pray!. Activate your social support system!. Have lots of people around you for encouragement!. Keep yourself busy--don't think about it until you know it's true!.

I am so sorry to hear it! Your question stood out for me!. I just said a prayer for you!. I know how it is to be scared of cancer!. I had a biopsy on my breast a few years ago and it came back benign!. How I dealt with the wait is that I made myself not worry but knowing that my life would change if I had cancer and how can I turn that into a positive!? like helping other people deal with cancer, especially children!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
